Dual Phone and Windows Fax...

We currently have a dual phone line set-up. It's one line which receives both phone calls and faxes on the same line. The line has two numbers, one for the phone and one for the fax.

We have recently set-up the software to receive faxes on Windows. It works fine however when we set it to receive faxes automatically, it answers normal phone calls as well as faxes. This results in the caller getting the loud fax noises in their ear...

Because of this, we've had to set it to manually receive faxes which is a pain.

Our old fax machine seemed to be able to tell the difference. Why can't Windows?

Is there something I've missed or any mods I can use to make it work?

their is a stting in there somewhere to fix that. I haven't use windows fax in awhile. you are using window's fax right?

Yes windows fax... I'll do a little more hunting.
