Driver problems

A friend of mine crashed mu computer as there was a virus, so decided to start new, well bad idea. Now I don't have my ethernet card nor a lot of other drivers, and I am DSL but when I put disc in (as would not recognize settings otherwise) it goes so far and says "Computer does nt recognoze Gateway" in other words somethng is missing and I need help.

I have a Dell Dimensiion 8300, PC running Windows XP Home Ediiton. I have put back in all the discs I can find drivers etc, but the only way I can get on is through dial up :-(

Dell has all their drivers on their website.

Google the computer you have, then put drivers at the end of the search. That will more than likely take you to dells site where all the dell drivers are.
