Default Dell Question

i heard alot of people saying things about hp and dells something with there windows xp..how would i go about installing my own xp on it..do i just format then install it? or is it a different process?

pop in the windows disk, set the boot priority to CD (from the BIOS) and delete the existing partition then format and install..

an XP disk will give you the option to format before you install

sometimes its better to fdsik first then format

hit f10 with hp and cxompaq to recover the system to the store bought condition
