In fact I don't know when Win check the files.
The Win is very reserved system and also different version of Win and Service Packs use different variant of work. I guess all rules is in Win register but I don't know the CRC register's key. Also some devices (may be your HDD or CD-ROM) can use this algorithm.
Ok, if this problem arise when you burn your CD-RW you can use slow burn. As for me I always use slow burn - it makes better result.
