I know this is a newbie question but I have been looking for hours to understand this.

We are looking to upgrade out BES server to run the new v5. Currently this server is operating with Windows Server 2003. I want to create a Raid 1 Mirror for fault tolerance.

Currently I have 2 hard drives installed with a capacity of 500gb each. When installing the operating system, I partioned out some space (75gb) as it did not need the whole 500gb.

Since I will be installing the BES and all its compnents on this "C" drive, how do I mirror the "C" drive to my second installed hard drive?

Every thing I have read always partitions and mirrors a new "E" drive (for example) but that drive is not where I will be running my BES server on?

Am I looking at this task the wrong way?

Again, I apologize for the newbie question. Hope someone can clarify what I am doing wrong.

Thanks.

Just realized I had to covert it to an MBR

I believe you make the raid first, then partition your logical drives if it's anything like setting up a raid 5. What type of drives are these? Is it a hardware or software raid?
