Question Connecting Projector to Win XP Pro

Dear All,

Hope all is well!
Got a Windows XP Pro that works fine with two different projectors. However, the sony laptop was taken to a client's site & he wasn't succesfull getting a visual with the projector.

Why would a projector not work in a system?

I mean, they use serial connections (some USB), which both were tried, and nada in the client's projector.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

Did you enable the 2nd monitor in the display advanced properties?

If its a movie file make the projector the PRIMARY monitor as you can only have one OS derived Overlay (so a movie will only show on the Primary box on secondary).

For ways around this (if this is the problem) state the gfx card of your machine.

Default OK

I do not think the user changed resolution to 800x600 but this could be tried.

As for the enablin the second display monitor, this happens automatically I think, at least on laptops.

thanks again!
