Hi Guys,

The 3rd problem i'm writing about is the following

I have found an AcerPower with an VL66A motherboard
It perfectly took a Pentium III 500 but it keeps saying
the following after installing a memory dimm

RAM PARITY ERROR, PRESS ESC TO TURN ECC OF OR ANY OTHER
KEY TO RESTART.

First it finds 192 MB good ram, and when the BIOS screen
is gone that above message appears, i tried the following:

Install other ram of diffrent speeds PC66/100/133
Install on another slot (there are 3 of them)
Tried CTRL-ALT-ESC to turn ECC of, but cant find it
I Also countined but every Windows version is shocking every
6 seconds.

What could be the solution, and not another mainboard.

why are you pressing ctrl-alt-esc? didn't you say it wanted only ESC to turn it off? i would press DEL at boot and go into your CMOS setup and see if you could find the memory settings to disable ECC.

arent parity errors due to either the memory modules themselves being faulty or altogether non-compatible with the motherboard?
