I recently ordered a Dell XPS Studio 16 laptop. It occured to me after ordering however, that I hadn't seen pictures of its audio output. I was wondering if someone could tell me if the claimed 5.1 Surround Sound has the multiple outputs like on the back of a desktop motherboard, or this only works through USB. Is it possible that the 2 headphones and 1 microphone ports can be reconfigured with software?
I have Logitech X-540s and would really like to be able to use them with this computer but it uses the SW/Centre, L/R and Rear L/Rear R outputs; if USB is the only output available, I'll have to go out and buy some USB speakers.
