Hello!
There is no urgency behind this question, just curiousity. I cleaned my laptop today with an air can, and dusted my cpu fan, and some other places. I decided to take out my Seagate hard drive just for the heck of it, and blew on it to remove any dust.
When I replaced that HDD back into the computer, and the battery, and put all the plates back on, I started it up.
When my desktop loaded, my taskbar was gone, and all of my icons. It took a few minutes of them flashing on and off for all of my original settings to return, but after a while, everything was back to normal.
I assume something was reset when I removed and replaced my HDD, even though the battery was off...
My question simply is, what exactly happened that caused my computer to do this?
Also, I believe my computer is loading programs a little faster because of this. Is this an illusion, or could this have helped?
ASUS; Vista. Request any more info.
Thank you for reading,
Baker
