I bought a 250 GB Maxtor external Hard Drive, with two FireWire ports on it. I have a PC and a MAC so I want to be able to use the Hard Drive from both computers. I was told, that it is impossible to access the drive from both computers at once, and that doesnt bother me. I am trying to partition the drive, so that I can have 160 allocated for the MAC and 75 for the PC.(The drive is ACTUALLY 233 GB) I have no idea how to do that. I tried to partition, from my PC, 75 GB and leave the rest unallocated for the mac, but then the MAC couldn't read it. So i tried the same thing from the MAC but the PC couldn't read it. Can somebody please tell me if and how I can do this?
