Just wait for some more 64bit progs. I can see the P4/XP prices dropping like crazy! The P4 CPU that I bought seemed to have already go down in price about $100.

You can do this in real time at www.pricewatch.com They list everything for computers and they let you know when one has gone down or up in price with a single arrow next to the product. It's a great idea and a way to get great bargains on computer stuff. I have used this for a long time.
