Error on installing windows

I have a Samsung SATA hard drive. I can't seem to install windows onto it. Everytime the hard drive copies the information off of the window cd, it says error in copying some files. I don't know whether my hard drive is defective or something else is wrong. Anyone have any idea?

i think ur cd mighy be faulty

Well ill be a bit more specfic, it says it is missing the ntldr file. I am really clueless on what to do =T

did you format the drive 1st? Change your boot order and boot from the CD to format and set up your drive then install the OS.
