I have a LITE-ON DVDRW LH-18A1H, which is able to read and play any CD, but is unable to read or play any DVD. Whenever I insert a DVD, the drive appears to spend a few minutes trying to read the DVD, and then afterwards nothing happens. Windows Explorer doesn't detect the DVD, and all other software don't detect a disc in the drive.
I have Power DVD installed, although it may not be the complete package if you get what I mean.
