Default is a decent place to figure out which to buy. A 9800 series card (not SE) should be ok for your requirements. Your CPU and RAM will limit it a bit though.

i cant believe a 16mb video card was put on a 8x AGP slot but yea go with a ATI 9800 Pro video card or Nvidia 6600gt also bump your ram up to 512

from the sound of this guy and his system he doesnt sound very clued up.

Unless the mobo has been changed since purchase of the computer i doubt it has an 8x agp port.

I mean were they available at pre 1ghz systems ??

I dont think they were but i may be wrong.

What are the specs required for nfs ?

it could easily be a 4x, and the graphics card would still work in it, and probally be just as good.
