Just a quick question. Do centrino laptops provide good range of wireless networking as opposed to a PCMCIA card or USB Adapter?
(Sorry if this should be in the wireless section)
Centrino is have been twieked to give you :-
* Better Wireless Preformance
* Better Battery Life
* Better Office Functionality in a mobile environment.
In order to get the Centrino badge, the notebook must have a wireless at point of purchase.
Please note that there has been some early HP Notebooks about this time last year that had Centrino CPU, but wireless was sold seperately.
And if you are purchasing a clone notebook (Eg. Clevo Barebone), make sure you have the wireless module in there.
I had to hail brimestone on one of my resellers this week as he was taking out the wireless modules of the my barebones and selling them serpately with a Centrino. Please note that got rather ugly as I had Intel on my ***. But that is all sorted now
According to what intel tells me, they are suppose to have better wireless contectivity.
