Default Can someone explain hd buffer to me?

What is the difference between 8mb and 2mb? what exactly does the buffer do?

Buffers help speed up recall of recent information. No question, 8mb is only way to go.

bigger buffer means longer data tranfer bursts. think of more cache as NOS. more cache = more NOS. if you haven't seen 2fast 2furious NM
