Default building as we speek... help

ok for the hard drives do you have to install that really small gray cord that comes with your rom drives... because the cord is way to short for me to hook up in my server chasis... is this a problem... you know which one im talking about... it hooks up the digital and audio...

youll need to get an extension cord or a longer one .
If i were building i would only hook up the minimal hardware:
VideoC , Hard D , floppy , Optical D , for starters .Get your OS going with all of your updates for chipsets etc.. and your system running stable first .Then add the extras. Just in case you run into a problem , itll be easier to pinpoint

On the HARD drive or your ROM drives?? That cable is only needed if you plan on using the front audio controls (on faceplate) for CDs and such...
