I installed the TEAC CD-W54E a few years ago to be able to back up files - in other words a cd writer.
After a time it has broken down .I keep being told *unable to create * and *access denied*
When I go into the control panel/Devicr ManagerI can see the device is listed under CDROM and there is no problem showing up.
I guess that as the PC is old that everything was a CDROM back then but the thing was ablr to write for a good length of time to begin with and I wonder how I can get it to work again if there is no obvious problem with it?
My PCi is WINme 300mhx/256Ram but was bought as a Win95 and came originally with a CDROM
thanks
Does it need a second Adaptec CD to make it writeble? Can I get that online if the original I vaguely recall possibly having is lost?
