Hope this is the right sub forum. I just bought an internal SSD for my setup, but have a question about the power cable setup. Is there a safe limit to the number of peripherals you can have on a single power cable? For example this is my current setup for the cable in question:
Power supply -> Fan (cant add peripherals with adapter) -> Fan, Fan -> Motherboard.
I have a 4pin connector to sata adapter and my possible future setup with the SSD would be:
PS -> Fan -> Fan, Fan, SSD -> Motherboard
Is this recommended or should I use a new cable straight from the power supply as I still have two slots left? (Which would mean buying a new one, hence my asking first.)
