Hey guys,
I generally don't have an issue with these types of things. However, I formatted a friends computer and upgraded his HP to 64-bit vista because HP didn't list drivers for 7.
Anyway, I installed vista ultimate and I can't seem to find any way to connect the dang thing to my network. System properties show the driver working properly, internet works fine [so its definitely not the cable] and I even bought a PCI network card in hopes of it just being a fluke and that isn't cooperating either. Any chance someone could help me fix this issue so I can return the computer back? I'm waiting on him to attempt to find the recovery disks the computer came with so I could maybe get the drivers from that, but I don't want to add the bloatware back on to this computer.

At my wits end,
Chris

Anyone? drivers are all updated, Ethernet enabled in bios, it just keeps thinking the cable is disconnected when it isn't. I use the same cable for this computer to post here and surf. This is getting really aggravating
