Hello,
Here is my problem:
I shut down computer completely using the start/shut down buttons on windows. Computer shuts off completely and I wait about a minute or so and then I press the power button on the pc to power the computer back up. the computer turns on and goes to the first initial screen (HP Invent Logo) and freezes up. The only way I can get it to work is by pressing the power button to turn the computer back off, unplugging the power cable from the outlet, pressing and holding down the power button on the PC for a full minute, replug the pc back into the outlet and power back up, the pc will boot without freezing up.
I have no idea why it is doing this, HP techs can not find the answer either, they thought it may be the reciever for the wireless mouse and keyboard that is causing it to freeze up but I switch to a standard mouse and keyboard with the same results.
Could this be bad memory? I have 2GB of ram the computer system is a m7287c HP media center 3.0GHZ,2GB ram I also been having an issue with a device in the device manager that I can not seem to find a driver for or a solution to... In device manager under "other devices" is a device called "Multimedia Video Controller" WindowsXP tries to find the driver but can't find the software for it...Im desperately looking for suggestions or solutions etc to help me....this system is only 3 days old and shouldnt be having any issues..
Thanks,
Mario
