Mic suddenly not working...

My microphone suddenly wont work, I know it's not broken. Not sure what to do, I checked the Volume Controls, all seem set to max volume, nothing seems muted, installed latest realtek drivers, made sure I plugged into the correct colour connection. Using a GA-P35C-DS3R.

Any idea's?

I actually just had my mic die on me yesterday. Turned out to be the wired connection attaching to the mic itself so maybe check that. I have to keep pushing it in now for it to maintain a connection. Then it works fine.
