I don't know how to upgrade to a Compaq R4000 computer

I have no idea of how to upgrade to a Compaq R4000 computer to the maximum amount of memory since it contains two 512M modules.

why not try removing the 512's and replacing with 1GB sticks. Then instead of 1 GB total, you have 2. Unless the board won't support it. But it should.
