HP printers

I have a HP 2510 all-in-one photosmart printer, fax scanner,copier
Most the the time it works very well. However every time the power goes off, I have to struggle to put the printer back on line. When I turn it on, it cycles to a point where it chugs not the print head but something else, it does that maybe 30 times then the power lite blinks and I have an Hourglass in the printer screen,
Can someone tell me how to resolve this problem please

It is most likely your scanner. I would call up HP. They know more about the hardware in there. All we would know is the software and drivers issues.
