Cpu fan/ memory

comp not complete yet but i just installed my memory Geil 512 MB DDR-400 Dual Channel memory and turned on the comp. and the CPU fan shut off after about 10 secs. so i turned of the comp and turned the comp back on and the fan worked fine.

MOBO- DFI lan-partyUT Nf-4 ultra-D
CPU- in-box Athlon 64 3500+
Psu- 450 watts

what is the manufacturer of the psu? also make sure that the 24 pin connector and the extra 4 pin connector are attached to the motherboard

the psu came with my xion2 case and all connectors are connected.

ive been starting the comp as ive been building it and its been starting up fine untill i put the ram in. and when i take the ram out it starts fine again.

also i dont have any hard drives or optical drives put in yet, just got the MOBO, CPU, and GPU and fans etc.. didnt know if that might have something to do with it
