Yeah the ends of the wires plug into the PSU so you take out the ones you don't need.

from the looks of it I think I did my wire-management better and more out of the way...to be honest thought I really doubt theres any real marginal cooling differance...

BTW you shoulda got all SATA drives, I think IDE wires restrict air movement the most

I find the best wire management comes from constant boredom matched with a eternal dissatisfaction.

You will be amazed how wires disappear with a little boredom and a whole lot of creativity.
