Default Is Sata 150 7200rpm faster then IDE 7200rpm?

seek times look about the same, the serial drive seems pointless unless its a 10,000rpm drive?

Well a SATA drive can transfer at 150mbps where as an IDE can only do 133mbps.

But the faster transfer rate will make the noticable difference.

No no, I'm serious. You won't notice it. 17mbps more is SO tiny...plus you barely ever use it.
