I have an Asus P5E and I really like it a lot. Very good overclocker and also looks pretty nice

Also I think you should just go for the Q6600 and save a bit of cash since the Q6700 offers nothing over the Q6600 other than a higher multiplier (which is useless really in this case)

as for ram, how's this:

Whats with the whole pi thing?

Are they saying the memory performances is irrational?

This motherboard:
Canada Computers - Motherboards > Socket LGA775/T : Asus P5E Socket 775 Intel X38 ICH9R Chipset Dual-Channel DDR2 1200/1066/800/667Mhz eSATA/ 6x SATA 3.0Gb/s 8-CH SupremeFX II Audio 2x PCI-E x16 Firewire 12x USB 2.0.
?

Nice looking memory. Would you mind taking a look on Canada Computers and seeing if you see anything that would perform as well? Im trying to price everything out from the one store, instead of ordering from a site on the other side of the country (so when I do sell this one I can buy my parts the same day and not worry about shipping costs)

Hahahaha I just got this. Nah, "Pi" is the name they gave to the heatspreaders. No clue why.

Is it worth the extra money to go to 1066 ones, or is it better off to stay with 1000?

ddr2-800 is really sufficient.

9x multi times 400mhz fsb give you 3.6ghz running memory at stock clocks.

Your better off picking up a 4gb kit of decent ddr2-800 than a 2gb kit of 1066.

Im considering the G.Skill that was linked, since I have some tracers here that I could use until those came in, but I see a DDR2-1000 version and a DDR2-1066 version, and I was just curious what the difference was, besides 66MHz

hardly free when you are paying 85 more than a q6600 at frys

Also if you read the thread the OP lives in Canada.
