Pros and Cons for a RAID 0, 1 or 1+0 in a gaming rig?

Okay, that's what I was curious about. So would you recommend getting a couple of smaller drives for the RAID 0 and a larger 320gb one for the backup?

For example,

get 2 of these for RAID 0:

Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 ST3160815AS 160GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive - OEM

Average Latency: 4.16ms
Average Seek Time: 11ms
Average Write Time: 12ms
Cache: 8MB

and this one for the backup:

Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 ST3320620AS (Perpendicular Recording Technology) 320GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive - OEM

Average Latency: 4.16ms
Average Seek Time: 8.5ms
Average Write Time: 10ms
Cache: 16MB

Or is that overkill and I should just get 3 of the 160gb drives?

Or should I skip the whole RAID setup and just go with the 2 seagate 320gb.

That's not overkill. Or just depends on how much space you want, or will use. The RAIDing two 160s and getting a 320 for backup is fine.
