Well I only realy bought the sound card because my on-board microphone port stopped working on my old comp. So I decided to keep it for the comp I just bought.

But the 6800 was about 280 CAN and the 7800 was 460$ witch I don't feel like spending ATM.

Yea you overpaid, $280 CAN = $245. USD

You can get a 6800GS for $200 USD = $228.61 CAN

Were you looking at retail becuase the 7800 GT costs around $300 USD = $343 CAN?
