You can get an E8400 and ds3l for around $300.

Then
520hx ~$100
seagate 500 GB HDD $120
case of your choice
8800GTs 512, if you need to cut the budget a bit get an 8800GT 512 for about $50 less, or if you can find a cheap one you can save even more by getting an HD 3870
