If you don't need the monitor included in the budget you can get better components. These parts are $704 before mail in rebates.

used the combo on the mobo and CPu thanks

wondering if the PSU included with the antec case has enough power to run

Can anyone suggest a different case with a PSU. read alot about the antec one and do not feel comfortable buying it

The Antec 300 case and Corsair 650tx psu I posted earlier would be good for your system. You don't have to get a case/psu combo, in fact it is usually better to buy them separately.

anybody know anything about this case. saw it on newegg thought it might work better with this build using the corsair PSU

Try for a 22" monitor with a 1680x1050 resolution. The 4870 1gb will be good for what you want to do.

Dunno about that case, but I do know the Antec 300 will be just fine. That case also doesn't have free shipping, so it will be close to the cost of the 300.

I have the antec 300 for one of my computers.
for a midsize case it is great. great airflow enough room for a gtx260 and good cable management.

You will not be disappointed.
