If youre considering it, id suggest going for a refurb, i knew a guy that was a mac rep and he owned a few of them he got at ridiculous prices.

The refurbs are great options for teh prince and quality, we use them from time to time at work. a 15" Pro would likely suit your needs and then get a larger extrnal monitor for your workspace. That is how our graphics guy in the office does it.
