Hello techies... need your expertise. I am new to this forum so please be kind
I will try and keep this as short as possible.
I have a server running server 2008 R2 with hyper v installed and a virtual network adapter that is bridged to my Physical for the VMs.
I also have a Windows 7 PC and both are connected to a Cisco Managed Switch.
I can ping and telnet to my switch from the Windows 7 PC.
But I cannot ping or telnet to the switch from the server.
I also cannot ping my servers IP address from my windows 7 PC or from my switch.
although when i run;
3550switch# show mac-address table dynamic
the physical and virtual servers mac addresses are listed.
I have completely turned off windows firewall and still cannot get any connection from my server.
the switch port is configured as a Access port and i have tried it as a trunk.
all ports are configured vlan 1 and all ip addresses are static.
any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated
