Hooking up computer to HDTV

Wow I never even thought about getting a DVI to HDMI cable... That sounds pretty sweet and should look great. I've got a question myself. (Sorry I'm not trying to steal your thread) I hook my laptop to my 37" all the time, but I have to use the VGA cable. My laptop has an S-Video port too. Is S-Video better? Should I find myself an adapter of some sort?

I've used s-video and it looks like donkey butt.

I realize dvi-hdmi is digital. I was just stating a reason why he should use dvi-hdmi

You would want a DVI to DVI for a DIV input on an lcd or DVI to HDMI cable for HD digital tv. That type allows you to connect a card seeing a VGA out only to an HD TV.
