Kool, thanks man!

Anywayz...

Here is my latest update on my build (again..)

Total $2457/$2500

Ram - Newegg.com - G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (4 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL8Q-8GBRM - Desktop Memory - don't really need 12 gigs and decided to switch to 8 gigs.

Motherboard - Newegg.com - EVGA 141-BL-E757-TR LGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX X58 SLI LE Intel Motherboard - Intel Motherboards same as always...

Case - Newegg.com - XCLIO 777 Black/Titanium Finish Chassis: 1.0 mm SECC; ABS Plastic ATX Full Tower Extreme Cooling PC Case - Computer Cases already have it, in the house and loving it...

PSU - Newegg.com - XCLIO DIAMONDPOWER 880W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Active PFC Power Supply - Power Supplies came with my case today as a combo deal for $300, looks pretty beefy

SSD - Newegg.com - OCZ Vertex Series OCZSSD2-1VTX30GXXX 2.5" 30GB SATA II MLC Internal Solid state disk (SSD) - Solid State Disks - 15 gigs for the Windows 7 Install, and 15 rest for some games maybe... don't feel like spending too much money for SSD Space, I just want windows too boot up fast so I thought this might do the trick...

HDD - Newegg.com - Western Digital Caviar Black WD1001FALS 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drives -Bare Drive 1 TB HDD Will be good enoguh for me..

BD-Rom Newegg.com - SAMSUNG Black 8X BD-ROM 16X DVD-ROM 48X CD-ROM SATA Internal Blu-ray Combo Model SH-B083L/RSBP - Blu-Ray Drives also burns stuff, (i know it's not fast as an actual DVD burner, but I don't care cause I only burn CD music... and since I have a 19200 x 1200 resolution monitor might as well get a blu-ray..)

Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit OEM - Newegg.com - Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit 1-Pack for System Builders - Operating Systems

Monitor - Newegg.com - SAMSUNG ToC T240HD Rose-Black 24" 5ms HDMI Widescreen HDTV Monitor 300 cd/m2 DC 10000:1 Built in DTV Tuner & Dolby Digital Surround Speakers - LCD Monitors - love the price, the look and I am sure its a great monitor, already ordered should be here by whensday!

CPU - Newegg.com - Intel Core i7-920 Bloomfield 2.66GHz 4 x 256KB L2 Cache 8MB L3 Cache LGA 1366 130W Quad-Core Processor - Processors - Desktops - Same as always

SSD Converter - Newegg.com - OCZ OCZACSSDBRKT2 Solid State Drive 3.5" Adaptor Bracket 2 - HDD Accessories works for both 2.5" and 3.5" , same company as my SSD so might as well

GPU - Newegg.com - SAPPHIRE 100280OCSR Radeon HD 5970 (Hemlock) 2GB 512 (256 x 2)-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Dual GPU Onboard CrossFire Video Card w/ Eyefinity - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards Finally was able to snatch exact the same model of TigerDirect through Amazon.com at 4 AM on December 21st 2009, they only had 3 in stock! Price was $650, ended up paying $700 with shipping and taxes...

That's it....

Any last minute suggestions? I am ordering the parts either tomorrow or Wednesday...

Total $2457/2500 Pretty might tight on my budget now ....

As you are going with an X58 system, its better that you go with a triple-channel memory kit as opposed to the 4x2GB scheme that you are currently getting.

Newegg.com - Mushkin Enhanced Redline 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model 998691 - Desktop Memory

Mushkin has some lower latency ram at the same bus speed but it is more expensive.

I agree with thekaras, a 6gb kit is appropriate here to utilize triple channel memory. But that mushkin memory is really expensive, get something like this:

Newegg.com - OCZ Gold 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Low Voltage Desktop Memory Model OCZ3G1600LV6GK - Desktop Memory

I did listen, however, I forgot to mention that I do a lot of modeling and 3d work, tons of polygons etc... I was originally planning to get 12 Gigs , then decided that's just too much and not needed so went down to 8. I've been told by STE (The mod) that I rather get a 8 gig than a 6 gig only because he stated that it will work faster for me cause I model a lot...

I don't do a lot of 3d work so I will yield to his recommendation. However I still say you should get tri channel.

Yeh maybe thing of 9GB which will still give you tripple channel.

To be honest though, I do alot of 3D modelling and the amount of ram doesnt have a huge impact. Its more to do with CPU power for rendering, and graphics power for working withing the viewport. I use more ram for things like photoshop. Still, you can never really have enough for graphics work.
