Looking at building a new computer and I am looking at the GIGABYTE GA-X58A-UD5 LGA 1366 Intel X58 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail I was wondering if anyone has one and how it has worked out for them or what people have heard about them. The reviews on Newegg are kind on both sides of the fence. I was originally looking at a ASUS P6X58D Premium LGA 1366 Intel X58 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail but it has less features. Some insight would be greatly appreciated.

I'd say it depends on your budget. If you can afford it, go with the Asus, 3 year warranty and asus are generally great mobo manufacturers. Gigabyte is also good, although the layout seems kinda meh on that board.

Either one will probably work well.

The UD5 and UD7 are both great, they are pretty much the same board. (excluding w/c chipset and some other misc features). gigabyte generally have the best phase power designs for high-end overclocking, not that this will make much difference with a air cooler.
