I would go with the 6600GT, personally. Well, the 6800GT, but if I had to choose between those two, 6600GT.

dude the 6600GT blows the 9800pro out of the water. look at some benchmarks at www.tomshardware.com and search VGA charts on the left

they dont even compare the 6600GT vs 9800pro

its more of the X800GT vs the 6600GT hence the GT.

i would compare the 9800pro with a 6200 or 6600 or fx5900 5950

Yeah, I was wondering, isn't the 6600GT in a higher "class" than the 9800?

Ah...you edited your post as I was posting mine.

Why does everybody still consider the 9800 Pro! That card is completely outdated now. Its like nobody has even heard of the X800 series, although i would still prefer the 6600 GT to any of the X800s.

actually if your thinking of going with the 6600GT, you should go with the 6800 if the 6600GT is to high of a price, and unlock the 4 additional pipelines and vertex shader. to reach a total of 16 pipelines and 6 vertex shader(is it 6?) and your be on your way.
