Default G80 - DirectX 10

will the next generation of gfx cards coming out (directx 10) use the 16xPCI slots like today's models or will we have to all get new mobo's?

i want to build a new comp, but i will want to upgrade when the new gfx cards are released.... i'm not too worried about upgrading the CPU when Intel releases their new ones, the GPU does most of the work for gaming anyways.

If i gotta upgrade the mobo for the new GPU's, i'm just gonna wait for the new CPU's too and save myself the hassle.

any advice? thanks
