Default Dual Core Processor Question

Will a dual core processor work with Windows XP Home ?

I ask because this Thursday I will be getting a new dual core PC for my birthday and the PC comes with Windows XP Home preloaded. I have read that Windows XP Home doesn’t support multiple processors. The PC comes with an Intel Pentium D 830 processor.

Neither did I. If you want to see if it is working or not, hit CTRL+ALT+DEL and go to the preformance tab. It should have two usage graphs, one for each core.
so, umm, err yeah
