Default Cluster project

So i'm building a beowulf cluster this summer and need to know where i can get some cheap pc's for this project.

the project consists of the following:
8 x pcs
4 x 20" lcd monitors
1 x keyboard
1 x mouse
maybe 1x touch screen monitor
1 x 12 port lAN switch

Right now the problem I'm having is where to buy pc's in bulk or cheaply. I've been looking through ebay for a few weeks I think the 7 slave nodes should be around 2GHz + with a speed of 7200 rpm on the hdd (100gb) so I'm thinking of maybe going with 7 x dell optiplex gx280's and then an HP something with 1tb hdd at 7200rpm.

then for the monitors, gotta be 20" widescreen. >30$

keyboard, something comfortable and easy for programming and CAD
mouse (whatever)

my budget is around 550$

Ebay shows i can get the slaves for about 20-50$
monitors = 20$ each

please let me know if you have any suggestions! I was thinking about buying old pc's from my high school but they're tryna butt**** me on the price

-cluster maker
then for the monitors
