decision: ppl say i cant OC with a 4800? i was thinking a 4800+ or fx 57. but i dunno which one to get. the opteron seems to be weaker than both of them. and cant i just overlock the 4800 or fx57 more than an opteron since they are already faster out of the box?

does the 2mb L2 cache make a big difference

Just because it is faster when you buy it doesnt always mean it will overclock higher. People here (003 for one) have been able to overclock an Operon 165 to about 2.8GHz, thats a 1GHz overclock. You probably wont get any higher than that on the 4800. The 4800 is pretty overclockable, but people choose the opterons because of their great overclockablility and great prices.
