lazer mice dony lagg, i do feel lagg in optical wireless. i have a mx 1000 and ts great.

G5 ftw, most people never notice the difference until they get a wired gaming mouse and try to go back, happened to me, but i love my G5

Space looks a little cramped for gaming imo.

Do you have any space under the desk for the comp?

btw, I have a MX600 too and it works just as well as wired.
