I heard you need to overclock your floppy drive in order to get the full potential of the 8900GTX. Is that true?

Sorry to ressurect such an old thread, but I just now read this and I wanted to clarify the point I was trying to make. I guess bottleneck was the wrong word to use. What I meant was overall system performance.. You would get more performance out of your system by buying a quad core with your 8800 rather than sticking with what you have now and getting an 8900gtx.

i no a guy that owns a comp store and hes goes to meeting with nvidia every now and then. he was told that there was not going to be any 8900gtx. he wasnt sure if it was going to come out later but a couple of months ago they had no llans at all for it. not sure if this source is reliable but thought it was worth mentioning
