7900GTX is replacing 7800GTX 512
7900GT is replacing 7800GTX and 7800GT
7600GT is replacing all 6800s and 6600s
7300GS is replacing all 6200s

Does that make more sense?

Here is the "order" of cards performance:

7900GTX
X1900XTX
X1900XT
7900GT
X1800XT
7800GTX
7800GT
X1800XL
X1800GTO
7600GT
6800GS
X1600XT
X1600PRO
X1300PRO
7300GS
X1300

Nice to see you put that 7900GTX at the top.

As I've posted, I ordered 2 7900gt's becuase 2 in SLI>x1900xtx by a little, but hopefully more once driver issues are taken care of. Which Nvidia does very well....

2 7900GT aren't just better than a single X1900XTX, they're **** close to better than 2 X1900XTXs.

June-November isn't just a few months, could be up to 9 months. I'd rather be playing on high settings than waiting for new technology to appear.

Amen to that.. I don't want to buy the G8 right off the bat. There won't be a ton of DX10 games out right away so hopefully the price comes down on them after a few months. And even if the games are out, they will most likely be DX9 compatable so you should be able to play them, then switch cards and the games should detect the DX10 card and turn on the features...
