Default Upgrading my cpu

I currently have a intel core i3-3245 cpu @ 3.40 ghz. I am looiking for an upgrade. something a bit faster(for gaming and image rendering) for under 250. Any help would be greatly apreciated.

ive got a 450 watt power box, gtx 750, 8 gigs balistic ram

By image rendering do you mean Photoshop?

This would be better but your looking at a 10% increase speed throughout desktop productivity.

If you could add another 30 bucks to your budget the intel core i7 3770 would be your best bet.

Now before you go spending money how about answering my questions? Do you even know if your board will take an i5 or i7?
