Default Upgrade Qs for a Friend

The office where a friend of mine works is replacing some old PCs and they said he could have this:

HP Compaq dx2450 Microtower PC (KA546UT) specifications - HP Products and Services Products

He has a netbook and wants something a little beefier. I don't think he has a monitor and hopes to run this on his tv. Wants to do some light gaming on it and isn't married to the idea of ultra settings, 60 fps etc. Is this thing worth messing with? My opinion is that it isn't, but I would like some other more substantive opinions. I feel like the money he would spend making this thing do anything decent would just about buy him a decent machine. Thanks in advance

Not even worth fooling with to be completely honest. HP/Compaq is complete garbage -- might make a good computer to check email with.

If you'd had said he "didn't" want to game with it, I'd have said slap a $25-30 GPU with HDMI and call it a day.

Ok about what I thought. I am glad that I feel less like a computer noob since my opinion was in line with other people. Thanks, peoples.
