Default question ddr3 video cards

if you put a ddr3 video card on a ddr2 motherboard, will something bad happen, or the ddr3 on the video card just doesnt matter?? thanks

The GDDR3 on a video card is completely separate from your motherboard's memory. They will not conflict in any way.
