Beedubaya is selling his X800 pro, due to it being crap. (see the for sale section underneath off topic.)

The AMD X2's are meant to be alot better than the intel dual cores.

Can someone also confirm if you need xp pro for dual core cpu's still? http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/p...choosing2.mspx

ASUS is meant to be the best motherboard manufacturer for intel.

The ram you picked out is DDR1 and not DDR2, which is what the intel requires. There is also no point in getting expensive ram if you are not overclocking loads.

Also, what are you going to be using the pc for?

If you are not going to be gaming, than get the cheapest one you can find that is compatible with that motherboard.

i would go with amd

i would get sata150 hdd and seagate

and get a 6800GT

1) X800pro doesnt have SM3(shader model 3)
2) The drivers just suck with it
3) X8** series was just a waste of money, and only came out just to bring something against nvidia, which not really did
4) ATI is sucking right now

It is not very helpful when you give me a video card that is 100 dollars above the one I have listed. Obviously it would be better since it is 100 dollars more. Those cards arnt really comparible
