A 3200+ compares to a 3.2ghz Intel Pentium 4 under ideal conditions. A higher number is always faster and better.

Intel processor, yes. AMD is simply more efficent than Intel in just about every facet of computing.

AMD has invested alot in R&D in the last 3 years while intel has stood still, the simple fact is that AMD just has better technology

Lets get this staright this is why amd is better then intel. The intel is good for multi tasking (video editing, and jsut basic office use.) and it uses low clock times. Amd (single core) is good for gaming and some multi tasking. Amd uses a much loger clock times so it can do more in 1 cycle rather Intel doing it in multi cycles. Intel is good for single core multi tasking however the dual core sucks and AMD wins dual core hands down. But depending on your budget and what the uses are for it is more likly that you should use AMD not Intel unless its for office use and its a low budget. There are alot of these posts that explains this over and over again. Please use the search bar before posting something cause chances are you well find it and don't even have to post. Its there for a reason
